Terms of use
Last updated: 12 June 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the LOB website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by LOB ("LOB", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Definitions
In these Terms: "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Platform; "Player" means a User who registers for or participates in games, clinics, or events; "Organiser" means a User who creates, publishes, or manages events on the Platform; "Coach" means a User who offers training programmes or sessions through the Platform; "Club" or "Venue" means a physical padel facility listed on or connected to the Platform; and "Event" means any game, session, clinic, tournament, or programme published through the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction if higher. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Accounts and security
Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@lob.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or legal risk.
4. The LOB platform
LOB provides software that helps players discover and join padel events, helps organisers and coaches publish sessions, manage registrations, process payments where enabled, and display live standings and results. LOB is a technology platform. We do not operate venues, employ coaches, or run matches ourselves unless expressly stated.
5. Events, bookings, and payments
5.1 Organiser responsibility
Organisers, coaches, clubs, and hosts are solely responsible for the Events they publish, including descriptions, pricing, capacity, eligibility rules, scheduling, refunds, cancellations, safety, and on-court conduct. LOB does not guarantee that any Event will take place as described.
5.2 Player registrations
When you register for an Event, you enter into a direct arrangement with the relevant Organiser regarding participation, payment, and attendance. LOB may facilitate registration and payment collection as a service to Organisers, but LOB is not the seller of the underlying court time or coaching service unless explicitly identified as such.
5.3 Fees and refunds
Prices, currencies, and refund policies are set by Organisers and displayed at checkout where applicable. Platform fees, payment processing fees, or taxes may apply and will be disclosed before you confirm payment. Refund eligibility is determined by the Organiser's stated policy and applicable law, not by LOB unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Platform unlawfully or in a manner that harms others;
- provide false, misleading, or impersonated information;
- interfere with the Platform, scrape data without permission, or attempt unauthorised access;
- harass, abuse, or discriminate against other Users;
- circumvent payment, registration, or access controls;
- upload content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights; or
- use the Platform to promote unlawful gambling, spam, or malicious software.
We may remove content, cancel registrations, or restrict access where we reasonably believe these rules have been violated.
7. User content and listings
You retain ownership of content you submit, including event descriptions, images, and profile information. You grant LOB a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely to operate and promote the Platform. You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit such content.
8. LOB intellectual property
The Platform, including its design, software, logos, trademarks, and branding, is owned by LOB or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Platform without our prior written consent.
9. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that we will process personal data as described there. Where required by law, we will obtain appropriate consent for marketing communications and other optional processing.
10. Third-party services
The Platform may link to or integrate with third-party services such as payment providers, mapping tools, or venue websites. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. LOB is not responsible for third-party services and does not endorse them unless expressly stated.
11. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. LOB DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT EVENT INFORMATION WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
Participation in padel and related physical activity involves inherent risk of injury. You are responsible for assessing your fitness to participate and for following venue rules and applicable safety guidance.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOB AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY EVENT, EVEN IF LOB HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOB'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LOB FOR PLATFORM SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LOB and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, your Events, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Platform creates risk to LOB or other Users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise. Courts in London, England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, unless applicable law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to legal@lob.app. For event-specific issues such as refunds, cancellations, or on-court matters, contact the relevant Organiser first.
